  • This is best Hindu temple in the area. Sundays can get busy, so people have to respectful and show patience. Food, offering, is given free for Sunday lunch, so lots of people flock in . Everyone working is a volunteer, so visitors have to be mindful of that.

I was at the temple on the day the other reviewer talks is referring to. There was lunch(offering) given out in boxes to take home and there was a free medical camp with lots of doctors downstairs. So it was devotee responsibility to it eat outside in parking lot, but take the food home and eat.

Worst place on earth to go for peace. On April 9th 2017. Visitors/Devotees were treated like prisoners. An elderly person in the temple was dictating and giving a box of food and pushing devotees out the door. People were sitting outdoor and boxes flying every where in the temple. There was respect for Visitors or Devotees. Prasad is a sacred food but was thrown out by most people as it did not taste good. Hope the management take necessary steps and organize the events well in the temple. First and foremost - No push people out of the temple forcefully.

  • Let the temple management regret first for an extremely rare incident. Mandir serves free lunch/langar to everyone with full “Sewa Bhavana” without any discrimination. In last two years Mandir has sponsored full cost of 46 houses in remote villages of Nepal for unprivileged and treats its visitors with full respect. Due to a Free Medical camp on April 9th at 2PM, the service providers/Medical professionals started coming early and it was decided to give only packed lunch boxes on that day instead eating in auditorium to make the space quickly available. Mandir policy doesn’t allow eating meals anywhere else except at lower level. The old gentleman mentioned in fact is a longtime humble dedicated volunteer and April 9th event is a very isolated incident. We have talked to him, expressed the grief and will observe him and others in future.

Mandir runs on volunteers; hope readers will ignore a onetime incident. Please visit the Mandir on any Sunday noon and observe yourself how volunteers serve the lunch/langar and everyone sits together on tables/chairs and enjoy the "Sacred Prasad" with full loving and welcoming atmosphere.

    Thank you,
    Secretary Mandir Executive Board
